Erika Day Sommer has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Erika started their career at Medquist as an Information Systems Technician from 2002 to 2005. From 2005 to 2019, they worked at South Suburban Parks & Recreation, initially as a Senior Applications Programmer and later in various roles until January 2019. In 2018, they also worked as an Application Developer at Computershare Loan Services, focusing on maintaining middleware efficiency and building integration solutions.

In 2018, Erika joined the State of Colorado as a Senior Developer. During their tenure, they developed a unique notification solution for breast and cervical cancer patients, implemented AWS Microservices for scalability and cost reduction, and implemented an interface to streamline reporting work items. Erika continued working at the State of Colorado until March 2021.

Erika then joined American Financing in March 2021 as a Software Engineer and later took on the role of Lead Software Engineer, Workflow/Automation from May 2021 to July 2022. Erika also worked as a Software Solution Architect from May 2022 to August 2022.

In 2022, Erika transitioned to Chamberlain Group as the Manager of Middleware Development, where they managed the development of middleware solutions until May 2023.

Currently, Erika is serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Sonsio Vehicle Protection starting from May 2023.

Erika Day Sommer's education history includes an Associate's degree in Business Arts from Western International University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications throughout their career. In 2015, they became a Certified Park & Recreation Professional (CPRP) through the National Recreation and Park Association.
