Yuki Mitsufuji

Yuki Mitsufuji, PhD, currently serves as Lead Research Scientist and Vice President of AI Research at SonyAI, focusing on deep generative models for music and cinematic media. With a long tenure at Sony beginning in 2004, Yuki holds the title of Distinguished Engineer and General Manager in the Creative AI Lab, where significant achievements include leading a team to win top honors at the DCASE2021 Challenge and SiSEC campaigns. Yuki is also a Technical Advisor for the Sony CSL Music Team and serves as General Chair for the Signal Separation Evaluation Campaign, contributing to the development of open-source tools and challenges in music demixing. Academically, Yuki has held a position as Specially Appointed Associate Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology, and brings research experience from collaborations with organizations like IRCAM. Yuki earned a PhD in Information Physics & Computing from The University of Tokyo and holds degrees from Keio University.
