Paul Sanders

Paul Sanders has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Paul currently holds the position of Director of Engineering - PlayStation Trust and Safety at Sony Interactive Entertainment, starting in October 2022. Prior to this role, they had a long tenure at Sony Interactive Entertainment America, where they served as Manager Online Engineering from March 2006 to the present and held the position of Senior Manager from April 2019 to November 2022.

Before joining Sony, Paul founded Desert Digital Memories in September 2004 and served as its Founder until January 2010. Paul also worked as a Senior Developer for DefenseWeb Technologies, Inc., contributing to web application development for the Navy Medical Centre San Diego during their tenure in 2004-2005.

Paul began their career at British Telecom Research Labs as a Senior Developer in June 1987, where they gained experience in formal methods research, functional programming research, and object-oriented program design and development. Paul worked at BT for a decade until March 1997.

In between, they were a Senior Application Programmer at Pfizer from September 2000 to October 2004 and held various roles at Advis, including Consulting Manager, from April 1997 to August 2000, working on web application projects.

Paul Sanders attended the University of East Anglia from 1984 to 1987, where they obtained a BSc (Joint Hons) degree in Mathematics and Computing Science. In 2002, they also obtained a Private Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration.
