Mehul Satish Thakkar

Mehul Satish Thakkar is an experienced marketing professional currently serving as Project Head for Marketing of Indian Local Originals at Sony Pictures Entertainment since April 2021. Previously, Mehul held the position of Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Sony Pictures Networks India from October 2016 to March 2021. Earlier experience includes working as Entertainment Editor for Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd., where responsibilities encompassed managing the entertainment section of the website and newspaper, and creating film partnerships. Mehul began a career in journalism as a Correspondent at Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd., followed by roles at Network18 Media & Investments Limited as an Entertainment Correspondent, and as a Content Writer at Zee Entertainment Enterprise Limited. Mehul holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Media with a specialization in Journalism from the University of Mumbai, completed in 2008.
