Shalin Patel

Shalin Patel is an experienced executive in international business development and distribution, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Europe at Sony Pictures Entertainment since December 2014. Prior to this role, Shalin held the position of Vice President and Head of Europe at the same company, and also worked as the Head of International Distribution (EMEA) at Channel 4 in 2014. Shalin's extensive career at Sony Pictures includes roles such as Head of Distribution & Marketing (Television) and Manager of Channel Distribution & Marketing for the UK and Europe. Earlier experience includes a position as Senior Marketing Executive at Warner Music Group and a Marketing Executive role at EMI Music. Shalin holds an MSc in Business Management from Aston Business School and a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Aston University, complemented by a background in education from John Lyon School, Harrow.
