Leon Mun

Leon Mun has over 18 years of experience in the telecommunications and broadcast sectors, currently serving as the Head of Department for IPTV & OTT at Sony since January 2014. Prior roles include Project Manager and Principal Product Specialist at Packet One Networks, focusing on 4G and fibre product marketing, as well as a Broadcast & IPTV FPGA Design Engineer at Ericsson/TANDBERG TV, where research centered on low-latency optimization. Earlier in a research role at Nottingham Trent University, Leon developed a novel Ethernet-to-DVB-to-RF radio transceiver. Leon holds a PhD in FPGA, Broadcast, Networking, and RF Communications, alongside a Bachelor's (Honors) in Electronics and Computing, both obtained from Nottingham Trent University.
