John M. Pires

John M. Pires is an accomplished executive in the music publishing industry with extensive experience in business development and strategic leadership. Currently serving as Executive Vice President of Global Business Development at Sony/ATV Music Publishing since August 2007, John M. Pires has also held the position of Senior Vice President of Business Development at the same company. In addition, John M. Pires serves as a member of the Board of Directors at APM Music since July 2012. Previous roles include Vice President of Business Development at Famous Music Publishing, and consulting in royalties and mechanical licensing at MCA Music Publishing/Universal Music Group. John M. Pires started the career in A&R at The Imago Recording Company after earning a BA in Communications from William Paterson University of New Jersey.
