Shubham Nayyar

Shubham Nayyar has a strong background in technology and engineering with experience in various roles and companies. Shubham is currently serving as the Head of Technology - R&D at SOPHiA GENETICS since March 2023. Prior to that, Shubham worked at OYO, where they held several positions including Head of Technology, Belvilla AG (OYO Vacation Homes) from January 2021 to February 2023, Director of Engineering, OYO Vacation Homes from July 2019 to December 2020, Senior Engineering Manager, Finance Tech from July 2018 to June 2019, and Engineering Manager, Finance Tech from December 2016 to June 2018. Before joining OYO, Shubham worked as a Senior Software Developer at OYO Rooms from December 2014 to October 2016. Shubham also gained experience at Zynga, first as a Software Engineer from July 2014 to November 2014, and then as an Associate Software Engineer from July 2013 to June 2014. At Zynga, Shubham played a crucial role in transitioning game features from Zynga US to Zynga India and focused on user profiling and intelligent game levels.

Shubham Nayyar pursued an Integrated Masters Degree in Computational Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) in Varanasi. Shubham also gained research experience as a Research Intern in Computational Chemistry at UiT- The Arctic University of Norway.
