Tyler Matheny

Tyler Matheny is a Subject Matter Expert at SOPHiA GENETICS since May 2023, bringing extensive experience in bioinformatics and research. Previously, Tyler served as a Bioinformatics Fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from March 2020 to April 2023 and worked as a Research Scientist at ArcherDX, Inc. from August 2019 to January 2020. Tyler's academic journey includes a Postdoctoral Associate position in the Roy Parker Lab at the University of Colorado Boulder and completing a PhD in Biochemistry at the same institution, where studies were conducted from 2013 to 2018. Additional experience includes an internship as a GeneLab Intern at NASA Ames Research Center in summer 2018, and a dual degree education with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from The University of Tulsa, awarded in 2013.
