Matt Mullen

Matt Mullen has a strong background in network engineering and automation. Matt currently holds the role of Principal Network DevOps Engineer at Sophos since June 2022. Previously, they worked as a Senior Network Automation Engineer at Network to Code from May 2020 to July 2022, where they focused on automating tasks and developing solutions using Python, Ansible, and Terraform. Before that, they were a Principal Solutions Architect at OnStak from January to May 2020, where they worked on partner enablement projects using automation tools like Python and CloudFormation templates. Matt also worked as a Principal Architect at Xentaurs from September 2017 to January 2020, where they provided pre-sales support, developed automation capabilities using Ansible, and worked on building labs for pre-sales and partner enablement. Matt also served as a Principal Consultant at World Wide Technology from March 2015 to September 2017, supporting account teams and providing technical training and design assistance for customers evaluating and implementing technologies such as Cisco ACI and VMware NSX. Matt began their career at Cisco as a Data Center Solution Architect and later as a Network Consulting Engineer, where they worked with various customers on designing, implementing, and optimizing their network infrastructures.

Matt Mullen attended Gannon University from 1990 to 1994, although their degree and field of study are unspecified. Matt has obtained various certifications over the years, including CCIE #13316 Data Center in 2013, VMWare Certified Professional in 2010, CCIE #13316 Routing and Switching in 2007, and CCIE #13316 Security in 2004. In 2020, they achieved the following certifications: Cisco Certified DevNet Professional, Cisco Certified DevNet Specialist - Core, and Cisco Certified DevNet Specialist - Data Center Automation and Programmability. Additionally, they hold a VMware Certified Professional 6 - Network Virtualization (VCP6-NV) certification, although the year of obtaining it is unknown.
