Jason Smith

Jason Smith is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in private equity, currently serving as a Partner at Sopris Capital since September 2015. In this role, Jason has focused on opportunistic investments in niche market-leading companies and fast-growing healthcare and tech-enabled services sectors. Prior to Sopris Capital, Jason worked at Morehead Capital Management as a Private Equity Analyst, where investments included notable exits such as Chop't Creative Salad and Prometheus Group. Jason's earlier roles include positions at Triangle Capital Corporation, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Merrill Lynch, as well as internships in public relations and student government finance at North Carolina State University. Jason holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a finance concentration from North Carolina State University.
