Michelle Moon

Principal at Sorenson Capital

Michelle joined Sorenson Ventures as a Principal in 2022, and focuses on early-stage investments in enterprise software and security. Michelle is interested in the intersection of the physical world and software, and covers related themes, such as the future of work, Industry 4.0, supply chain and logistics, construction tech, proptech and energy.

Michelle is unafraid of partnering with founders in the earliest stages of building their company. She is committed to being a value add partner and a sounding board throughout the lifecycle of a startup – from the first crucial decisions, which have a disproportionate impact, to the long term. Michelle strives to support and enable founders working on bold and disruptive ideas, or like herself, entrepreneurs who don’t often fit the Silicon Valley mold.

Michelle brings 9 years of investment experience across the capital stack prior to joining Sorenson Ventures. Previously, Michelle was a Principal at LG Technology Ventures, a leading corporate venture capital fund in the San Francisco Bay Area, helping deploy an inaugural $450 million fund. Prior to that, Michelle spent two years in investment banking at RBC Capital Markets, followed by four years in growth equity at ARC Financial Corp.

Michelle holds a Master of Business Administration degree with majors in Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an International Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Michelle is a CFA charterholder.
