Thomas Taylor

Thomas Taylor is an accomplished engineer with a diverse background in blockchain technology, software development, and instructional roles. Currently serving as a Founding Engineer at Sort since February 2023, Thomas has previously contributed to M10 Networks as a consultant focusing on CBDC ledger development for central banks and taught solidity and Ethereum at Macro. At BitGo, Thomas held the position of Engineering Manager, overseeing Ethereum, DeFi, and WBTC teams, while also working as a Blockchain Engineer to onboard coins and bootstrap WBTC. Additional experience includes serving as Senior Vice President of Technology at BTIG, where enhancements to the custodial clearing process were achieved, and as a Senior Software Engineer at Beaconfire Consulting, working on CMS projects for notable non-profits. Thomas also co-founded SecondShiftJobs.com and has held various software development roles, starting with an internship at MITRE. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from George Mason University.
