Simone Masing is currently working as an Assistant Pantry Coordinator at SOS Community Services since January 2022. Previously, Simone worked as a Barista at BIGGBY COFFEE from August 2020 to February 2022. Simone is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Social Work at Eastern Michigan University, expected to graduate in April 2024. Simone holds an Associate of Arts degree in Human Services from Washtenaw Community College, a high school diploma in Human Services from Washtenaw Technical Middle College, and an Associate's degree in Occupational Studies from Washtenaw Community College.
SOS Community Services
SOS Community Services is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and ending family homelessness in Washtenaw County, Michigan. For 46 years, SOS has been a pioneer in serving community members who are most in need. Our mission is to promote housing stability and family self-sufficiency through collaboration, care and respect. Today the agency serves over 7,000 people each year and focuses on assisting homeless families with children, which reflects approximately 35% of the homeless population in Washtenaw County. SOS provides family shelter and rapid re-housing programs, employment support, food pantry, children’s programs, and information and referrals for community resources.
