Carolin Herzig

Carolin Herzig currently serves as a Project/Grant Manager at SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit since April 2023. Previous experience includes roles as Programme Manager at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH from December 2015 to February 2021, overseeing the CPS programme "Transformation of violent conflicts" with significant responsibilities in project implementation, partnership liaison, financial oversight, and personnel management. Earlier positions at GIZ also included Development Advisor focused on transitional justice and victims' rights in post-election violence in Kenya. Additional legal experience encompasses a role as Case Manager/Legal Assistant at the International Criminal Court and legal internships at the Kammergericht Berlin. Education includes a Master of Laws from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and advanced studies in International Criminal Law.
