Charles O'Brien

Charles “O.B.” O’Brien joined SOSi in 2016 to lead the company’s language services portfolio. His business provides professional language services to advance a variety of federal civilian and intelligence missions. His cadre of global interpreters, linguists, and language analysts is supplemented by a worldwide network of independent contractors proficient in more than 300 languages and dialects.

O’Brien is a strategic management and operational plans expert with more than 30 years of experience leading and supporting organizations through dynamic change across the international security cooperation, partner capability development, defense, military training, operations, and program management fields.

O’Brien is a graduate of the U.S. Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), Defense Strategist Course, and Command and General Staff College. He served in the U.S. Army for more than 25 years and is a decorated combat leader and tactical ground unit commander. He also trained the U.S. Army, joint services, and multinational partners in many peacetime and contingency operating environments.
