Duncan Turner

Duncan Turner is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment and management within the technology and manufacturing sectors. As a General Partner at SOSV since October 2014, Duncan focuses on investing in hard tech start-ups aligned with themes of Industrial Independence, Planetary, and Human Health. Concurrently, Duncan serves as Managing Director of HAX, overseeing global operations and strategic direction. Duncan also holds several director positions on the boards of innovative companies, including unspun™, SEPPURE, and VoltStorage GmbH, contributing to advancements in sustainable manufacturing and energy storage. Previous roles include Design & Engineering Lead at IDEO, Co-Founder of CliQ Ltd, and Research Associate at InnovationRCA, showcasing a robust background in design, engineering, and product development. Duncan earned an MA in Industrial Design Engineering from Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art between 2002 and 2004.
