Pae W

Pae W is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in biotechnology and engineering. Currently serving as General Partner at SOSV and Chief Technical Officer at IndieBio since April 2020, Pae W has previously held key roles including Scientific Director at Alpha and Science Director at the Office of Naval Research, where strategic R&D activities were funded for the US Navy in the Asia-Pacific region. Pae W has also been a Lead Biotechnologist and Scientific Consultant to DARPA, providing program management and strategy development. Academic contributions include positions as Research Scientist and Academic Leadership Fellow at Duke University, where innovative sensor technologies were developed. Pae W holds a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, showcasing a strong educational background in materials science and applied physics. Additionally, Pae W co-founded the DOUGHMAN event, successfully raising funds for local youth programs.
