Trevor Kimenye has over 15 years of work experience in the software engineering and development industry. Trevor started their career in 2006 as a Software Maker at Kimenye Integrated Software Solutions, followed by a role as a .NET Solutions Consultant at Mining and Civil Australia. Trevor then worked at Furniture Bazaar as a Senior J2EE Consultant and at Landgate WA as a Senior J2EE Consultant. In 2009, they joined NEC Australia as an Integration Architect and in 2010, they worked as a Senior J2EE Developer at Sensis. In 2012, they founded Sprout Consulting, a digital technology agency, and served as its CEO and Software Maker. In 2013, they were a Coding Instructor and Advisor at Nairobi Dev School. In 2014, they became the CEO of Ongair, a customer support platform built for Messaging Apps, and they have grown the business to over 2,000 customers from 70 countries. Trevor is currently the VP of Software Engineering at Sote, a position they have held since 2022.
Trevor Kimenye attended Strathmore School, Edith Cowan University, and RMIT University. From 2004 to 2006, they earned a Bsc Computer Science in Software Engineering from Edith Cowan University. In 2010, they completed a Master of Technology in Enterprise Architecture from RMIT University.
