Tara Javidi

Tara Javidi is the Co-Founder of SOTER AI since September 2020. Prior to that, they were the Founding Co-Director at the University of California, San Diego - Jacobs School of Engineering starting in September 2018. Tara has also held various roles at the University of California San Diego, including Professor since January 2005 and Assistant Professor from January 2005 to July 2010.

Tara Javidi has an extensive education history. From 1992 to 1996, they attended Sharif University of Technology, where they focused on studying Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering. Tara then pursued further education at the University of Michigan, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from 1996 to 1998. During this time, they also earned a second Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from 1998 to 1999. Lastly, Tara Javidi completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan from 1996 to 2002.
