Cherry Chung

Cherry Chung currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer at Soter, a position held since July 2024. Prior to this role, Cherry was the Head of Risk at Somers Re Ltd. from January 2022 to July 2024 and held positions in various actuarial capacities, including Senior Actuarial Analyst at Oil Management Services Ltd. (now Everen Group) and Capital Modelling Specialist at Deloitte Caribbean and Bermuda. Cherry's career began as an Actuarial Analyst at the Financial Services Authority and has included roles at organizations such as PwC Canada and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty. Cherry holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics in Actuarial Science and Statistics from the University of Waterloo, complemented by extensive experience in risk management and actuarial analysis.
