Sriram Prasad

Sriram Prasad is a Robotics and Mechanical Engineer currently employed at Soterya, Inc. since July 2025. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Maryland from January 2024 to July 2025, where Sriram worked on a Deep Imitation Learning framework for crab meat extraction and developed Convolutional Neural Network architectures for real-time object detection in crab processing automation. From September 2021 to July 2023, Sriram was a Design Engineer at iLenSys Technologies Pvt Ltd, contributing to the design of over 200 cable assemblies in a New Product Development project. Earlier roles include a Project Trainee at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, a summer internship at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, and an engineering internship at Mercedes-Benz India Pvt. Ltd. Sriram holds a Master of Engineering in Robotics from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University.
