Alessandra Merrill

Alessandra Merrill is an experienced professional in the field of fine arts and decorative arts, currently serving as Associate Vice President and Specialist in the Silver Department at Sotheby's since July 2013. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Fine Arts at Bloom Fine Art & Antiques from March 2012 to July 2013, and Photography & Rights Coordinator at The Morgan Library & Museum from June 2007 to March 2012. Earlier roles involved internships at O'Toole-Ewald Art Associates, Inc. and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where Alessandra contributed to research for the silver catalog in the American Wing. Alessandra holds a Master's degree in History of Decorative Arts & Design from Parsons School of Design - The New School and a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Bard College.
