Casey Chisick

Casey Chisick is a leading legal professional specializing in entertainment, media, and intellectual property law, currently serving as Chair of the Entertainment, Media & Sports Group at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP since 2002. Chisick has previously held various leadership roles within the firm, including co-chair of both the Entertainment, Media & Sports Practice and the Intellectual Property Practice. As a member of the Executive Committee, Chisick has contributed to one of Canada's largest and most respected practices in these areas. Chisick also actively engages in academia as an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, teaching Copyright Law since 2002, and has served in various leadership capacities in copyright organizations, including as Co-Chair of The Copyright Society. Additional contributions include board roles with Soulpepper Theatre Company and past positions with the ABA Committee on International Copyright Treaties and the University of Manitoba. Chisick holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and an LL.B. from the University of Manitoba, where the distinction of University Gold Medal was achieved.
