Christopher Alix

Christopher Alix has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Christopher is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Sound Devices, LLC since July 2022. Previously, they were the Owner/President of Prairie City Computing, Inc. starting from October 1997. Additionally, Christopher also served as a Board Member at Champaign County Board from December 2010 to November 2017 where they held roles such as Finance Chair and Labor Chair. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager of Engineering and Operations at NovaNET Learning, Inc. from July 1993 to October 1997. Lastly, they held the position of Assistant Specialist in Automated Education at the University of Illinois Computer-Based Education Research Laboratory (PLATO), where they worked as a Research Programmer/Engineer from August 1988 to July 1993.

Christopher Alix attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1984 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.
