Matthew Donnelly's work experience begins in 1994 at The Bank of New York, where they worked as a Loan Officer until 1995. Matthew then became a Mortgage Officer at The Community Preservation Corporation from 1995 to 1999. From 1999 to 2008, they served as a Managing Director at Bear Stearns & Co, Commercial Mortgage. After that, Donnelly joined Cole Real Estate Investments as the Senior Vice President and Head of Real Estate Finance from 2008 to 2014. Matthew then worked at Realty Finance Trust as the Head of Originations from 2014 to 2016. Since 2016, Donnelly has been with Sound Point Capital Management, LP, where they operate as the Portfolio Manager and Head of Originations for Commercial Real Estate. Furthermore, Donnelly is Co-Founder and CEO of CMD Realty, LLC, starting from January 2021.

Matthew Donnelly earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Real Estate Investment from New York University, completing their studies from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from Fordham University, attending from 1988 to 1992.
