Sloan Dawson

Sloan Dawson has extensive experience in urban planning and land use management, currently serving as Land Use Planning Manager at Sound Transit since June 2015. Previous positions at Sound Transit include Senior Land Use Planner and Senior TOD Specialist. Prior to this, Sloan worked at Sasaki Associates as a Planner, focusing on urban design and master land use planning, and contributed to various projects through writing, research, and analysis. Experience also includes roles at the Metropolitan Area Planning Agency as Planner/Sustainability Coordinator and Transportation Planner, with a focus on multimodal transportation planning and related initiatives. Earlier career stages featured an internship at IBI Group and a project management role at Management Systems International. Sloan holds a Master's degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
