Benjamin Kang Yue Sheng

Benjamin Kang Yue Sheng is an experienced professional in blockchain and software development, currently serving as Protocol Lead at sound.xyz since December 2022, where responsibilities include optimizing Solidity smart contracts for the Sound Protocol. Prior to this role, Benjamin worked as a Research Development Software Engineer at New Future Holdings Pte Ltd, focusing on the implementation of robust solutions in Blockchain, Fintech, RPA, IoT, and AI from May 2019 to January 2023. Benjamin completed a PhD program at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), contributing to projects in Computer Graphics and AI from January 2016 to April 2019. Previous experiences also include an IT internship at Singapore Airlines and service as an Underwater Combat Medic in the Singapore Armed Forces. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Systems Technology & Design from SUTD and completed GCE "A" Levels at Victoria Junior College.
