Matt Thompson

Matt Thompson has extensive experience in product management and software development. Matt currently holds the position of Senior Director, Product Management at SoundHound since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director, Software Product Management at VIZIO from 2016 to 2022, where they led the development of their SmartTV platform and collaborated across teams to shape product strategy. Before that, they worked at Instructure as the Senior Director, Platform, where they led the development, product management, and strategy of their platform. Matt also has a strong background in interactive TV, having worked at DIRECTV as a Director in multiple roles, including Developer Platform & Partner Strategy, Social TV and Design Thinking, and Interactive TV. Matt started their career at Liberate Technologies as a Senior Development Manager, where they developed enhanced television prototypes. Matt Thompson began their professional journey at Tribune Media Services as a Producer/Electronic Information Specialist, and later worked as the Internet Producer at WGN-TV.

Matt Thompson attended Northwestern University from 1992 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism.
