Tobias Platenburg

Tobias Platenburg has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current position as Lead Data Scientist at Source.ag since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at IG&H from 2017 to 2022, first as a Data Scientist and later as a Manager Data & Analytics. In these roles, they were involved in data analysis and played a key role in the development and implementation of data and analytics strategies. Before joining IG&H, Tobias gained experience as a Graduate Intern at Shell in 2016, where they were responsible for the technical development of a novel material for petroleum engineering applications. Tobias also worked as a Research Intern at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in the same year, focusing on the research and development of a microchannel condensator for efficient heat extraction. In addition, Tobias worked as a Student Consultant at Sure Innovation from 2014 to 2015, where they contributed to research on electric vehicle adoption through data analysis, interviews, and literature analysis. This research was presented at the Automotive Symposium in Korea and published on the RVO website.

Tobias Platenburg's education history is as follows:

From 2015 to 2017, Tobias attended Eindhoven University of Technology and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Prior to their master's degree, Tobias also attended Eindhoven University of Technology from 2009 to 2015. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In addition to their degrees, Tobias pursued a minor in Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Energy from Eindhoven University of Technology. Tobias completed this program from 2012 to 2013.

Before attending Eindhoven University of Technology, Tobias studied at Isendoorn College from 2007 to 2009. Tobias participated in the IB A+ English Program, focusing on various subjects.

Tobias also completed their Voorbereidend Tweetalig Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs from Isendoorn College. This program spanned from 2003 to 2009 and prepared him for bilingual scientific education.

Apart from their formal education, Tobias has obtained several certifications. Tobias completed the Apache Cassandra Developer Associate Certification from DataStax in October 2020.

In December 2019, Tobias successfully completed the Exponential Innovation Program from Singularity University. Tobias also obtained a certification in Software Engineering for Data Scientists in Python from DataCamp in the same month.

Continuing their education in machine learning and deep learning, Tobias completed several certifications from Coursera. These include the Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning. These certifications were obtained between 2018 and 2019.
