George Givens

George Givens has had a long and varied career in the IT industry. George began their career in 1992 as the Director of Corporate IT for Consolidated Natural Gas Company (now Dominion Resources). In this role, they were responsible for the direction of staff and budget for application project teams and an IT staff of 160, as well as capital and operating expenditures which exceeded $45 million. George was also responsible for the subsidiary transmission operations which were responsible for real-time gas measurement and high volume gas pipeline distribution.

In 1999, George moved to Capital One as the Director of IT. Here, they directed key projects which supported critical operations in the US, UK, and Canada, and project teams including off shore technical teams in the UK, India, and China. Their projects included PeopleSoft ERP, PeopleSoft Mgr and EE Self Service, PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management and Budgeting, custom built Recruiting and Selection, Financial Credit Risk Management, Treasury Operations, Open Text Document Management, and BEA Portal Systems.

In 2006, George became the Managing Partner of Agile Associates LLC, where they were responsible for business development, project team recruitment, and the adherence to quality delivery standards for all Clients and projects completed by the firm. George also provided assessments of current-state business operations supported by the PeopleSoft HCM product suite, and compared and contrasted opportunities for software functionality implementation and upgrade, including costs and benefit realization.

In 2013, George moved to Impact Makers as a Lead Consultant. In this role, they directed the Test Data Management Program for the Delivery Acceleration Solution Group and Technology Solutions Groups, improving the overall effectiveness of over 500 Test Environments. George also directed the development and implementation of a new Business to Business Trading Partner Gateway (TPG) as a part of an Enterprise Gateway Program.

In 2018, George retired.

George Givens received a BS in Mathematics from Duquesne University and an MBA in Accounting from the same institution.
