James Borden

James Borden is a consultant at South 8 Technologies since August 2024, bringing extensive experience in business development and project management. Previously, at Aptera Motors from October 2021 to March 2024, James served as a Business Development Consultant for Strategic Partnerships, leading negotiations for partnerships with strategic supplier-investors and managing high-voltage systems projects and supply chain programs. Other roles include Director of Quality Assurance for a commodity buyer focused on battery and solar, where James implemented a digital quality management system and expanded the quality assurance team. Additionally, James gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at UMass Amherst and contributed as a volunteer at the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University and a high school diploma from The Williston Northampton School.
