Elsje du Preez

Elsje Du Preez has extensive experience in the aviation industry, currently serving as the Head of Aircraft Fleet Management at South African Airways since September 2012. In this role, Elsje oversees aircraft acquisitions and sales, manages maintenance events, ensures compliance with maintenance requirements, and controls Lessor return conditions. Prior to this position, from May 2004 to September 2012, Elsje held key leadership roles at South African Airways Technical, including Head of Planning and AMOS, where responsibilities involved executing planned maintenance for aircraft, and Head of Planning and Supply Chain, focusing on resource management, logistics, and procurement. Elsje holds a Masters Degree in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
