Bafundi Maronoti

Bafundi Maronoti has been with the South African Reserve Bank since January 2010, currently serving as Head of Market Operations and Analysis, overseeing the implementation of SARB monetary policy, foreign exchange operations, and government funding operations. Bafundi has held various leadership roles within the same institution, including Acting Head and Lead Specialist in Market & Policy Analysis. Additionally, Bafundi is a Board Member at the South African Institute of Financial Markets and served as a Visiting Economist at the Bank for International Settlements. Educational qualifications include a Master of Philosophy in Corporate Strategy from GIBS Business School, a Master of Science in Finance from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from Walter Sisulu University, among other certifications.
