Claire Monaghan

Claire Monaghan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public administration, policy development, and community planning. Currently serving as Head of Policy, Community Planning, and Public Affairs at South Ayrshire Council since June 2009, Claire Monaghan has successfully implemented the Oracle E-Business suite, reengineered ICT infrastructure, and developed strategic policies focusing on equalities and sustainability. Prior to this role, Claire Monaghan was a Senior Civil Servant at The Scottish Government from December 1996 to June 2009, where responsibilities included serving as Deputy Director of Schools and managing the curriculum component of the Curriculum for Excellence Programme. Claire Monaghan's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Sector Efficiency from the University of Stirling, complemented by an Upper Second BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Strathclyde.
