Ashleigh Staton O'Brien

Ashleigh Staton O'Brien is a dedicated educational professional with extensive experience in special education and youth advocacy. Since September 2009, O'Brien has served as a Special Education Teacher at the NYC Department of Education, specifically at the High School of Art and Design, where O'Brien has provided instructional support in Algebra I and II, achieving a New York State Regents pass rate consistently above city and state averages. In addition, O'Brien has worked as a Youth Advocate for the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation since August 2007, creating and implementing visual art and photography curricula focused on social engagement and recruiting participants from four high schools in the South Bronx. O'Brien holds a Bachelor's degree in Photography and Sociology and a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching.
