Whitney Hu is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in civic engagement, research, and communications. Currently serving as the Director of Civic Engagement & Research at Churches United For Fair Housing since August 2021 and as the Board Chair & Co-Founder of South Brooklyn Sanctuary since January 2024, Whitney also holds the position of Board Member & Publications Chair at Feminist Press. Previous roles include Director of Partnerships at Impactive and Director of Public Programs at the National Book Foundation. Whitney has also contributed as Communications Director for the New York City Council and as Marketing & Communications Director at Strand Book Store. Whitney began the professional journey with a Bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing from Coe College in 2013.
