Lesley Long

Regional Planner/brownfield Program Manager at South Central Planning and Development Commission

Lesley Long is an experienced professional in the fields of planning, community development, and education. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor in the Petroleum Engineering Technology and Safety Management Department at Nicholls State University since January 2024, Lesley Long has also held the role of Regional Planner and Brownfield Program Manager at the South Central Planning and Development Commission since May 2011. Previously, Lesley Long worked as a Zoning & Community Development Assistant for the City of Franklin, LA, and as a Code Enforcement Administrative Officer for the City of Pascagoula. Early career experience includes serving as the Recreation Department Secretary for the City of Morgan City. Lesley Long holds a Bachelor's of Science in Petroleum Engineering Services and an Associate of Science in Safety Technology from Nicholls State University, along with an Associate's Degree in Office Systems Technology from South Central Louisiana Technical College-Young Memorial Campus.
