Lisa Lim

Lisa Lim is an accomplished academic and columnist with extensive experience in linguistics and education. Currently a columnist at South China Morning Post SCMP since July 2016, Lisa serves as the Dean International and Associate Professor at Curtin University since May 2021. Additionally, Lisa holds honorary and associate roles at the University of Sydney and the University of Hong Kong, where numerous leadership positions have been undertaken, including Chair of the Department of Linguistics at the University of Sydney. Former roles also include senior lecturer/researcher at the University of Amsterdam and assistant professor at the National University of Singapore. Lisa's academic qualifications include a PhD in Linguistics (Phonetics) from the University of Reading and first-class honors in English Language from the National University of Singapore. As an author for Cambridge University Press since 2007, Lisa continues to contribute significantly to the field of linguistics.
