Robert Delaney

North America Bureau Chief at South China Morning Post

Robert Delaney serves as the North America Bureau Chief for the South China Morning Post (SCMP) since February 2017, focusing on Sino-U.S. relations. In addition to journalism, Robert is a novelist, having authored "The Wounded Muse," published by Canada's Mosaic Press in 2018. As a mentor for the Black China Caucus, Robert supports the professional development of Black professionals in the China space. Previous roles include Senior Public Relations Director at D2L, Vice President and Managing Editor at /newsrooms, and various positions at Bloomberg LP, including Beijing Bureau Chief, where Robert expanded the newsroom and covered critical economic policies. Robert holds a Master's degree in Communications from Toronto Metropolitan University and various language and international studies certifications from prestigious institutions.
