Erica Castillo

Erica Castillo, CPA, currently serves as the Director of Finance at South Coast Water District since April 2025. Previously, Castillo held the position of Finance Director at the City of Laguna Beach from September 2024 to April 2025. Prior experience includes serving as Treasurer for the Santa Margarita Dana Point Authority from March 2021 to September 2024 and for the San Juan Basin Authority from April 2016 to September 2024. Castillo also worked as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Santa Margarita Water District from March 2016 to June 2024 and as Controller at the same organization. Earlier career roles include Audit Manager at MGO from October 2009 to March 2016 and Audit Associate at CBIZ MHM, LLC in 2008-2009. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics with an Accounting Emphasis from UC Santa Barbara and a Certification in Negotiation Skills from Harvard Division of Continuing Education.
