Chris Kolsrud has extensive experience in the field of IT and security. Their most recent role was as Chief Information Security Officer at the South Dakota Board of Regents. Prior to this, they worked at Five Star Call Centers for a period of ten years, where they served as the Director of IT and Security. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing security and risk, managing network reliability, and conducting third party security audits. Before joining Five Star Call Centers, Chris worked at Prairie Video as an IT Manager for six years.

The Board of Regents has constitutional authority to govern the system of public higher education in the state of South Dakota.
