Chris Kolsrud

Chris Kolsrud has extensive experience in the field of IT and security. Their most recent role was as Chief Information Security Officer at the South Dakota Board of Regents. Prior to this, they worked at Five Star Call Centers for a period of ten years, where they served as the Director of IT and Security. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing security and risk, managing network reliability, and conducting third party security audits. Before joining Five Star Call Centers, Chris worked at Prairie Video as an IT Manager for six years.

Chris Kolsrud's education history includes a Master of Science in Cyber Defense (MSCD) degree from Dakota State University, which was obtained from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, Chris earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science & Business Administration from Augustana University (SD) between 2003 and 2007. Additionally, Chris obtained a Private Pilots License from the Business Aviation School of Aeronautics in 2003.

In terms of certifications, Chris is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) obtained from (ISC)² in December 2022. Furthermore, Chris holds an AWS Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) obtained in July 2022.
