Beth Vollan

Director Of Financial Aid And Scholarships at South Dakota State University

Beth Vollan has a strong background in financial aid and scholarships. Beth started their career in 2002 as an Ombudsman at the National Student Loan Program, where they worked until 2010. In 2010, Beth joined South Dakota State University as a Financial Aid Counselor and later became the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. Currently, Beth is serving as the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships at South Dakota State University.

Beth Vollan holds a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Administration of Student Affairs from South Dakota State University, which they obtained between 2011 and 2014. Beth also completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1987 to 1991. In addition to their academic achievements, Vollan has obtained various certifications including Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC) from Badgr (now part of Instructure) in May 2022, Certified Financial Aid Administrator from the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) in June 2019, and Accredited Financial Counselor from AFCPE® (Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education®) in 2009.
