Brittany Kjerstad McKnight

Brittany Kjerstad McKnight is an Assistant Professor of Business Law and Law and Real Estate Instructor at South Dakota State University since December 2017. In addition to teaching, Brittany served as Accreditation Project Manager at the South Dakota State University Ness School of Management and Economics from August 2022 to August 2023. Previous professional experience includes roles as Corporate Counsel at Dakota Homestead Title Insurance Company, Deputy Public Defender for Minnehaha County, Deputy State's Attorney for Brookings County, and State's Attorney for Haakon County. Brittany also gained valuable experience through internships at Union County State's Attorney's Office and Janklow Law Firm. Brittany holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from The University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from South Dakota State University.
