Prafulla Salunke

Prafulla Salunke is an esteemed Assistant Professor in Dairy Manufacturing at South Dakota State University since August 2021, where responsibilities also include serving as Principal Investigator for the Institute for Dairy Ingredient Processing and Associate Director of the Midwest Dairy Foods Research Centre. Previously, Prafulla held the position of R&D and Technical Services Coordinator at Saputo Cheese USA Inc. from March 2013 to August 2021 and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at South Dakota State University from 2007 to 2013, focusing on dairy manufacturing and ingredient development. Prafulla's extensive career began in India, managing various departments at GCMMF and serving as a Technical Officer and Trainee at cooperative milk producers' unions. Academic credentials include a PhD in Biological Sciences (Dairy Science-Manufacturing) from South Dakota State University, a Master’s in Dairy Technology from Gujarat Agricultural University, and a Bachelor’s in Dairy Technology from the same institution, alongside ongoing training achievements from various prestigious institutions.
