Sanam Parajuli is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant at South Dakota State University, engaged in teaching Botany 201 and Biology 151 courses since January 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Kathmandu University from April 2022 to January 2023, and as a Fellow at Climate Tracker from October 2016 to March 2022. Sanam also participated as a Delegate for the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations in February 2022 and held the position of Research Agronomist at the Department of Plant Resources from January 2018 to July 2018. Sanam holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Sciences with a focus on Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics from South Dakota State University, a Master’s in Biotechnology from Kathmandu University, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Agriculture and Forestry University, Nepal.

Founded in 1881, South Dakota State University is the state's Morrill Act land-grant institution as well as its largest, most comprehensive school of higher education.
