Randy Deshazo

Randy Deshazo currently serves as the Deputy Director at the South Florida Regional Planning Council, where responsibilities include overseeing staff and facilitating the Council’s work program. With prior experience as Chief of Staff at the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, Randy led a diverse team in various regional studies and urban planning projects. Earlier roles include Senior Policy Analyst at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, Principal Planner at the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments, and Senior Regional Planner at the Association of Bay Area Governments. Additionally, Randy has experience as a lecturer at San Jose State University, teaching courses related to regional planning and urban growth management. Educational qualifications include a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Master of Arts from the University of New Orleans.
