Shalyn Solomon

Shalyn Solomon is an experienced professional in the field of engineering and environmental governance, currently serving as an ESG Specialist Senior at South Jersey Industries since June 2018. Shalyn's background includes roles as ESG Specialist Intermediate, Design Engineer II, and GIS and Records Specialist Associate, focusing on infrastructure documentation and change control. Prior experience includes positions at Rowan University as a Graduate and Undergraduate Research Assistant, conducting studies on solar thermal systems and the impact of Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles. Additional experience includes an internship at the U.S. Department of Energy, interpretation of construction documents at Hillmann Consulting, and energy and water conservation strategies for the New Jersey Army National Guard. Shalyn holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rowan University.
