Christopher McQuin

Christopher McQuin is a seasoned engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in robotics and mechanical engineering. Currently, Christopher serves as Co-Founder and Hardware Development Lead at UCR and as a Founder Fellow at South Park Commons, both since May 2024. Previously, Christopher co-founded Novium Ltd, holding the title of Director of Mechanical Engineering from September 2021 to February 2023, and served as Director of Systems Engineering and Technical Consultant at Nimble Robotics. Notable earlier roles include Chief Robotics Engineer at Motiv Robotics, Structures Engineer at SpaceX, and Robotics Engineer at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where Christopher led the ATHLETE engineering team. Additionally, at NASA, Christopher was the Chief Engineer for Hardware Development for the Valkyrie project, contributing to the DARPA robotics challenge. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Information Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed in 2006.
