John Huether

John Huether has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. John currently serves as the Senior Director of Risk, Audit, Compliance, and Quality at South Shore Bank since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) from 2013 to 2022, holding positions such as Senior Bank Examiner in Risk Management for Large Financial Institutions and Risk Management Supervision. From 2012 to 2013, they served as a Financial Management Specialist at the USDA. In 2011, they worked as a Branch Manager at Citizens Bank, and from 2006 to 2007, they were a Sales Manager in Residential Mortgage at Bank of America. John began their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as a Platoon Sergeant in Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic from 2001 to 2005.

John Huether has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. John also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management with a focus on Finance from UMass Boston. Additionally, John has completed an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Cape Cod Community College.

In terms of certifications, John is a Certified Enterprise Risk Professional from the American Bankers Association. John is also a Commissioned Bank Examiner with a specialization in Risk Management Supervision from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Furthermore, John has obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University.
